How YOU Can Get Involved!

Feet on the Street Team
We are building street teams in our key release cities, New York and Los Angeles, of volunteers who will help us spread the word about A Whisper to a Roar by participating in local events, placing promotional materials, and recruiting people to come see the film when it opens. This is a great way to get involved with your friends and to meet more!

Web Wonders Online Team
No matter where you are, you can join our Web Wonders. Social media and online networking are a key part of our release strategy from Facebook posting and Tweeting to sharing online reviews of the film — building a powerful online buzz about A Whisper to a Roar will not only be crucial to filling seats in our release cities, but also to building a global following for the film. The best part of being a Web Wonder is that you can do it when you have time — whether that’s once a week for a few minutes, every day or anything in between.

If you are multi-lingual even better, we need support in many languages!

Groups and Organizations
A Whisper to a Roar is actively seeking groups and organizations whose missions are in alignment with the themes of the film to join forces with us in our release cities in order to spread the word and fill theaters during release week. There are three key ways your group or organization can get involved:

  • Include A Whisper to a Roar information on your website and social media outlets. We will provide you with a blurb about the film, artwork and screening times/links to post on your website and/or events page and social media outlets.
  • Include A Whisper to a Roar information in your monthly e-blasts. We will provide you with any content you require, including artwork and screening links.
  • Send out our Release Announcement forward-on email to your list. We will provide you with the e-mail, which you can easily send to your list and they, in turn, can easily forward it on to their networks or post the link to Facebook and Twitter.

All of our partner groups will be included on our website and on promotional materials (based on production schedules). We will promote partner organizations in our outreach to our email subscribers, on all of our social media outlets and through press outreach as appropriate. When we are able, we will work with theaters to negotiate group ticket pricing (typically for groups of 20 or more) that you can offer your constituents and members to attend a screening of A Whisper to a Roar as a group. Additionally, if you have upcoming events or fund-raisers we will be happy to help you promote them through our social media outlets and our newsletter, space allowing.

Host a Screening
In each city, we will designate specific screenings that can be “hosted” by your organization. We will work with you to create an e-mailable invitation that you can send out to your constituents inviting them to your hosted screening, and if you have enough people, we will work with the theater to negotiate group ticket rates when possible, and, based on theater regulations and cast/crew schedules, we may be able to ask a member of our cast or crew to attend and do a quick Q & A following the screening. Hosted Screenings are a simple way to gather members of your group in a fun and informal setting and a really wonderful way to help A Whisper to a Roar fill seats for “off-time” screenings.
