Although Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa had to miss the October 3 premiere, that didn’t stop him from making an appearance. He was called away at the last minute to attend the first presidential debate between President Obama and Governor Romney, but filmed this video in advance to introduce “A Whisper to a Roar” at the Director’s Guild Theatre in Los Angeles.
Film Opens Amnesty International Reel Awareness Fest
“A Whisper to a Roar” opened the Amnesty International Reel Awareness Film Festival on November 15, 2012. The screening was followed up by a lively Q&A with writer/producer/director Ben Moses via Skype. Thanks to all who participated and best to all for the rest of the festival!

Screening in Madrid
Last night “A Whisper to a Roar” screened at the Insituto Internacional in an event hosted by the Club de Madrid & Fundación Transición Española. The film was introduced by the Club de Madrid’s Secretary General Carlos Westendorp and Spanish Transition Foundation President José Luis de Zavala. Afterwards, the Club de Madrid’s Rubén Campos led a Q&A with filmmaker Ben Moses, followed by a reception. Thanks to all our new friends in Madrid for hosting this fabulous event!
